Sol y Sombra Memorable Weekend--April 30/May 1, 2005
The spirit of Sol y Sombra has always been toros, good food, and friendship. Since many members enjoy the "pachanga"--A special private celebration, by invitation only, for the Opening of the Taurine Season and in the cartel for the first corrida was El Juli, Sol y Sombra Honorary Member, many members made plans to go. Therefore, it was fitting that the Installation of Officers Banquet be held in Tijuana because the current Constitution and Bylaws states that it be done in May. Besides, it gave us an opportunity to share our celebration and spend time with good friends from sister clubs in Southern California who we normally do not see up North. Needless to say, we all had a great time and want to go back next year.
